Nigeria and security challenge

THE stability of a nation’s security is a prime factor that necessitates development, increase productivity, initiates growth and attracts foreign investment. We cannot fold our arms and allow the state of insecurity to continue to pose a threat in our society on a daily basis. The present security challenge is alien to our society. We have lost lots of human lives and witnessed destruction of valuable properties as a result of this challenge. The action of government in checkmating this social menace is inadequate, despite the fact that Nigeria has a strong military and para-military force in place to combat this rising militancy in the north.
There is no doubt that terrorism attack is a global challenge but with peculiarities in different nations and moreover with a measure of control. I believe that the delay in tackling this evil monster disturbing the peace of our co-existence as a nation is purely a political gimmick. If we do not tackle this major problem with every expertise at our disposal it may escalate to a monster.
The daily bombings in some part of the country reveals government's inadequacy in protecting her citizens. The solution here is to confront and prosecute the unscrupulous individuals behind this dastardly act. The president of Nigeria must be a Lion and a Lamb. We are tired of weeping over our beloved ones and the earth is already full of receiving the blood of innocent people. Mr. President and the security agents should wake up to their responsibility to salvage the situation. I pray that God will grant the president the wisdom to handle this challenge.
